The KHQ Workplace Relations Team would love to have you join us on 24 May 2016 to discuss the complexities associated with managing ill, injured and absent employees.

With a number of competing legal obligations to balance and manage, this area can present a number of difficulties for human resources professionals and managers. Often, concerns about these various obligations can result in a reluctance to take action, which means issues can escalate.

Our aim in this seminar is to equip you with the knowledge necessary to appropriately act on fitness for work issues and a process for their management. In particular, we will be focusing upon:

  • Practical tips for managing these issues when they arise – including considerations about obtaining and assessing medical information and making appropriate decisions.
  • Lessons from the latest unfair dismissal and general protections cases in this area.
  • Mental health issues in the workplace and their implications.
  • A step by step guide to working your way through the minefield and getting the management of these issues right!

Details for the seminar are:

When: 24 May 2016; 7.30 a.m. for breakfast; 9.00 a.m. finish

Where: Kelly Hazell Quill, Level 15, 440 Collins Street, Melbourne

RSVP: To Jonah, by Friday 13 May 2016 on (03) 8681 4018 or by email jestaniel@khq.com.au
