Welcome to the latest issue of the KHQ Super Alert. This week the ATO released an updated ‘roadmap’ of changes to come for the superannuation industry, and information for trustees about its ‘Super Enquiry Service’. APRA also published further guidance for trustees to get ready for APRA Connect.
ATO – Updated industry changes roadmap
On 8 June 2021, the ATO released an updated roadmap which ‘details the changes affecting the super industry up until the end of June 2022. This information will be updated every quarter or when there are major changes or announcements’.

ATO – APRA fund service
On 8 June 2021, the ATO released information in relation to its ‘Super Enquiry Service’ which allows APRA funds ‘to lodge and manage super-related enquiries 24/7’ with the ATO. This online portal will allow funds to submit information requests to the ATO and follow the status of each request which is lodged.

APRA – Further information for APRA Connect
On 4 June 2021, APRA published further information for trustees in relation to getting ready for APRA Connect. APRA has updated its user guidance and advised that it will conduct a webinar today ‘to provide entities with an overview of available information and support and will include a demonstration of APRA Connect’.
