Anne is a lawyer in our Tax & Structuring team with a focus on advising SMEs on both Federal and state taxes.
Prior to joining KHQ, Anne worked in a corporate tax team at an international accounting firm. During this time, she worked for a broad range of clients, including financial services clients, large ASX listed companies, foreign entities, and investment groups. Anne has experience advising clients on a number of corporate tax matters, including:
- income tax – advisory and compliance
- capital gains tax
- ATO private rulings
- Foreign Account Tax Compliance (FATCA) & Common Reporting Standard (CRS) compliance
- ATO voluntary disclosures
- tax consolidation
- ongoing ATO disputes
- ATO Streamlined Assurance Reviews
- tax due diligence, and
Anne was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) from Monash University. She also attended Michigan State University for a semester, completing a unit in negotiations, contracts and global comparative law, and is on the road to being qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor of the The Tax Institute of Australia.
Anne prides herself on her ability to think creatively and her motivation to succeed. Outside of work, Anne is an avid baker, plays basketball and enjoys celebrating her Sri Lankan heritage through traditional Sri Lankan dance!
