Joel is a paralegal in the Tax & Structuring team with a background in commercial litigation and commercial transactional work at a previous firm. Joel has a keen interest in business restructuring through both a tax and commercial efficacy lens, and further enjoys a broad range of income tax matters (including capital gains tax, trust tax matters, cross-border tax and tax avoidance matters).
Joel is currently completing his final year of a Law and Business (Finance) double degree at Swinburne University of Technology. As the Director of Sponsorships for the university’s law society, Joel regularly raises funds for the society’s networking and professional development events for the benefit of his peers.
