Lisa Splawa-Neyman Special Counsel

Lisa is a Special Counsel with our Technology and Commercial practices.  She has over 14 years’ experience and has worked for clients across a broad range of industry sectors including healthcare, transport, retail, telecommunications, technology and professional services.  Prior to joining KHQ, Lisa held senior roles at one of Melbourne’s largest law firms, as well the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office and a highly regarded ‘NewLaw’ commercial law firm.

Lisa’s experience includes advising on, drafting and negotiating:

  • supply and distribution agreements
  • software licenses
  • reseller agreements
  • support and maintenance agreements
  • licensing and commercialisation arrangements
  • terms and conditions of supply, and
  • services agreements.

Lisa’s work focuses on both business as usual and project based transactions and she also provides general commercial and contracting advice as well as advice on regulatory and governance issues.  She has a particular interest in complex procurements and has worked on a number of high-risk and high-value projects for both government and private sector commercial clients.  She has in-depth knowledge of procurement processes and procedures and is experienced in preparing and assessing tender responses.

Lisa is committed to understanding her clients’ businesses and is known for her strong technical skills and attention to detail. She prides herself on her ability to deliver legal advice that is both commercial and practical.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Master of Laws (Commercial Law) as well as a Graduate Certificate in Law Teaching.  She has been a sessional lecturer in company law at Monash University (Juris Doctor Program) since 2006.
