Melanie was admitted to practice in May 2018 and has broad corporate and commercial experience across a wide range of sectors including professional services, property development, manufacturing, medical services and transport and logistics.
Melanie is dedicated to understanding the businesses of her clients and strives to provide strategic legal outcomes that are tailored to their specific needs. She assists clients with:
- sales and purchases of businesses, shares, units and assets
- capital raisings
- corporate restructures
- initial corporate structuring, and
- general commercial contracting.
Melanie started her career as a graduate in a national firm, before transitioning with her team in 2018 to a leading intellectual property firm to establish a corporate, commercial and tax service offering. Before joining KHQ Lawyers, Melanie enjoyed a diverse practice which, alongside corporate and commercial work, included providing complex tax advice and assisting with the management of disputes in matters relating to both commonwealth and state taxes.
Melanie holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Politics) from La Trobe University.
