Gemma Carroll
Senior Associate

Gemma is a Senior Associate in our Workplace Relations & Safety team, and is experienced in advising private and government employers on the full spectrum of employment, industrial relations and safety matters. Gemma has a particular interest in assisting clients with:

  • enterprise agreement negotiations and approvals
  • award and agreement interpretation queries and disputes
  • underpayment claims including rectification and communication strategies
  • compliance issues including Fair Work Ombudsman and WorkSafe investigations
  • occupational health and safety risks in the workplace
  • post-employment claims such as unfair dismissals and general protections, and
  • managing poor performance and misconduct including workplace investigations.

Gemma is currently undertaking her Master of Laws at Melbourne University, focusing on employment and labour relations law. In her Masters, Gemma has excelled in subjects relating to conducting workplace investigations, negotiation skills, occupational health and safety and enterprise bargaining.

Prior to working in private practice, Gemma was the Associate to a Presidential Member of the Fair Work Commission. Her time at the Commission provides an invaluable insight when dealing with matters before the tribunal.
