Konnie Lontos Senior Associate

Konnie is a Senior Associate in our Corporate & Commercial team.  

Her corporate experience includes mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business sales, capital raisings, corporate governance and corporate structing. Her commercial experience includes commercial contract drafting and negotiation, general commercial advisory, franchising, business succession and pre-ligation dispute resolution.   

Konnie is well versed in advising corporate and commercial clients Australia-wide, including private wealth family groups and large organisations across a range of industries such as real estate, education, health, manufacturing and technology, among others.  

Her diverse corporate and commercial background enables her to provide comprehensive legal advice and to support clients through the lifecycle of their business, from start-up to sale and/or succession.  

Konnie’s experience includes: 

  • Acting for a corporate group operating a cosmetics manufacturing business in relation to their share sale. 
  • Advising owners of a business regarding assessing online applications in relation to their internal restructure of assets and operations. 
  • Acting for an overseas entity in relation to the purchase of an Australian financial services licensee and its group.  
  • Advising on estate law and corporations law issues for an administrator of an estate of a high net worth individual with a privately owned corporate group, where the individual died intestate. 
  • Acting for an Australian entity with an international recruitment business in relation to its capital raising.  
  • Advising a publisher regarding enforcing intellectual property rights under its publishing agreements. 
  • Acting for a real estate franchisor in relation to updating its franchising agreements and disclosure documentation. 
  • Advising a national health services provider in relation to its privacy law obligations in Australia and updating its privacy policy and associated documentation.  
  • Acting for a real estate franchisee in its dispute with a franchisor regarding the termination of its franchise agreement and intellectual property dispute.  

Konnie builds solid relationships and works collaboratively to understand her clients’ businesses and legal needs. When advising, she applies her technical skills as well as commercial considerations to provide practical legal advice and solutions. Her strong work ethic allows her to lead transactions and drive matters to deliver efficient results.
