Marcus Di Blasio Associate

Marcus is an Associate in our Workplace Relations & Safety team. He has extensive knowledge of employment law and has advised corporate clients across an array of industries on the full spectrum of employment law issues. His expertise includes: 

  • representing clients in unfair dismissal and adverse action matters 
  • representing clients in workplace investigations involving discrimination, harassment and bullying allegations, and compliance with anti-discrimination laws 
  • drafting employment agreements, enterprise bargaining agreements and workplace policies 
  • advising on the interpretation and application of employment agreements and industrial instruments 
  • advising clients on breaches of post-employment restraints, the protection of confidential information and intellectual property 
  • working with clients to assess return to work capacity issues via functional capacity evaluations and medical assessments 
  • advising clients on issues surrounding ill and injured workers, including psychos mental health in the workplace 
  • helping clients understand their obligations under the relevant workplace health and safety laws 
  • advising clients on various WorkCover aspects including defence strategy following Serious Injury Application claims for damages at common law; 
  • WorkCover Industry Classification and premium reviews, and  
  • Assisting clients with defending occupational health and safety prosecutions brought by workplace health and safety regulators.  

Marcus’ industry experience includes retail, manufacturing, transport and healthcare. Marcus provides his clients with pragmatic and timely advice to help protect their legal interests. He fosters strong relationships with his clients as their trusted advocate.  

When not working, Marcus follows the football and enjoys the company of his family and friends.
