Sarah Kasner Lawyer

Sarah is a lawyer in our Corporate & Commercial team, specialising primarily in food and beverage and other regulatory compliance areas within the FMCG sector. 

Sarah’s areas of regulatory interest include: 

  • Australian Consumer Law, particularly in assessing marketing and advertising claims in relation to misleading and deceptive conduct 
  • the Food Standards Code 
  • product classification, and  
  • finding the best pathway to market for products such as food, therapeutic goods and cosmetics. 

Prior to joining KHQ, Sarah worked as a Compliance Manager at Australia Post, where she was responsible for ensuring compliance across an array of areas, including retail product quality and safety, critical infrastructure, carriage service provider products and corporate governance. Sarah has experience working closely with in-house legal teams to assist with regulatory reform proposals. 

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) from Monash University and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2022. 

When not working, Sarah enjoys running, art exhibitions, coffees with friends and travelling, particularly the Netherlands, where she undertook part of her studies.
