Tim is an Associate in our Workplace Relations & Safety team, having joined KHQ in 2022. He is experienced in advising a broad range of clients of all sizes across the full spectrum of employment, industrial relations and safety matters, with particular expertise in providing advice on:
- industrial relations strategy, including enterprise agreement review, bargaining, negotiations, approvals, terminations, variations and disputes
- navigating day-to-day HR issues, including managing misconduct, poor performance and medical capacity for employment (including assessing return to work capacity and advising on issues surrounding ill and injured workers)
- defending unfair dismissals, general protections, and other workplace litigation
- Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), modern award and enterprise agreement compliance, interpretation and disputes
- drafting, interpreting, and advising on employment contracts, policies and industrial instruments
- contractual disputes and breaches of restraint of trade, confidentiality and intellectual property obligations
- contractor issues and owner driver regulations
- occupational health and safety matters, including assisting clients to defend occupational health and safety prosecutions, and
- workers’ compensation.
Tim develops close relationships with his clients and their stakeholders through understanding their commercial drivers and challenges, and providing solutions-oriented advice.
