Tim Agius
Associate

Tim is an Associate in our Workplace Relations & Safety team, having joined KHQ in 2022. He is experienced in advising a broad range of clients of all sizes across the full spectrum of employment, industrial relations and safety matters, with particular expertise in providing advice on: 

  • industrial relations strategy, including enterprise agreement review, bargaining, negotiations, approvals, terminations, variations and disputes  
  • navigating day-to-day HR issues, including managing misconduct, poor performance and medical capacity for employment (including assessing return to work capacity and advising on issues surrounding ill and injured workers) 
  • defending unfair dismissals, general protections, and other workplace litigation  
  • Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), modern award and enterprise agreement compliance, interpretation and disputes  
  • drafting, interpreting, and advising on employment contracts, policies and industrial instruments  
  • contractual disputes and breaches of restraint of trade, confidentiality and intellectual property obligations 
  • contractor issues and owner driver regulations  
  • occupational health and safety matters, including assisting clients to defend occupational health and safety prosecutions, and 
  • workers’ compensation. 

Tim develops close relationships with his clients and their stakeholders through understanding their commercial drivers and challenges, and providing solutions-oriented advice.
